Frequently Asked Questions
General
What tubes do you use?
We use modern white phosphor image intensifier tubes meeting or exceeding the minimum specifications listed on each product page. Every unit is inspected prior to shipment.
Are these real night vision devices?
Yes. All devices are true image-intensified night vision — not digital, not IR camera based, and not toy or airsoft replicas.
Can I see through these in total darkness?
Night vision amplifies ambient light. Under starlight or low natural illumination they perform extremely well. In completely lightless environments an infrared illuminator may be required.
Can I try before buying?
Local customers may arrange an in-person demonstration and inspection prior to purchase.
Tube Appearance & Performance
Are spots or blemishes normal?
Yes. Small cosmetic spots are inherent to image intensifier manufacturing and are not defects. They do not affect function or performance and are present in nearly all night vision devices.
What is FOM / SNR / resolution?
These are performance measurements of the tube’s sensitivity and clarity. Listed specifications represent minimum expected performance rather than exact guaranteed numbers.
Why does the image look grainy sometimes?
Low light amplification produces natural scintillation (“sparkle”). This is normal and indicates the device is functioning correctly.
Orders & Shipping
How long does processing take?
Devices are prepared and quality-checked per order. Typical processing time is approximately 2-4 weeks before shipment unless otherwise stated.
Do you ship internationally?
No. Night vision devices are restricted for export and we ship only within the United States.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Tracking is provided once the order ships.
Legal & Export
Can I take night vision outside the U.S.?
No. Exporting or transporting night vision devices outside the United States is prohibited without proper authorization.
Can a non-U.S. person use my device?
Use by non-U.S. persons outside your direct supervision within the United States may violate export regulations.
Returns & Warranty
Can I return my night vision device?
Due to the nature of night vision equipment, devices are non-returnable once used or mounted unless defective.
What if something stops working?
Contact us immediately. We will assist with troubleshooting and warranty guidance.
What voids warranty coverage?
Improper storage, disassembly, modification, water damage, or misuse may void coverage.
Use & Care
Do I need an IR illuminator?
Usually not in normal outdoor conditions, but helpful in extremely dark indoor or no-moon environments.
Can I use this on a firearm?
Yes when paired with proper mounting and lawful use.
How should I store the device?
Remove the battery and store in a dry environment with the lens cap on when not in use.
